# Guild Handbook

Accountability is distributed in Tech Fleet. Power is shared and served among the Board of Directors, community contributors, and guilds made up of community contributors. The community can vote to make change through proposal voting.

Guilds are self-organized and self-governing teams within Tech Fleet that are dedicated specific purposes. They are made up of community contributors and each have their own operational structures. Together, the guilds, board of directors, and voting members of Tech Fleet work together to carry out the mission of creating fair access to tech careers. Learn more about our vision, mission, and values [here](/about-us/about-our-org/mission-and-values.md) to read the "why" behind our guild structure.
