# Service Design Projects

## What Kind of Work Does It Entail?

During a service design project, there is no product. The end-to-end experience exists between screens and different tools that the business uses to accomplish goals. Teams gets together to produce an experience that provides services to human beings. The specific outcome to be achieved is always based on the project goals, but the [agile lifecycle](/project-portal/project-success-handbook/project-components/agile-project-lifecycle.md) determines the steps in the process that teams go through to solve the right problems and solve the problems in the right ways. The end result of this project is a service or program for the world.
