# Time Commitments as a Project Trainee

We know everyone has life outside of this community, and want to accommodate your schedule with flexibility. There is no requirement for minimum amounts of hours to spend each week, because you're a trainee, and not a paid employee. This said, we do expect 15 to 20 hour level weekly commitment for project trainees and want people to commit to the work.

Schedules for teamwork during project training are determined by the project teams. Teammates should cover for those who cannot make all meetings, and provide chances for people to contribute asynchronously.

This helps support people from many different time zones who have many different kinds of constraints, like family, work, or school commitments.
