# Types of Teamwork in the Community

## Project Training Teammates

Teammates who are a part of apprenticeship trainings work together across functions to solve problems with nonprofits. Our training programs for team-based problem solving are built around cross-functional teamwork.

## Volunteer Teammates

Community members can get involved in our [company](/about-us/about-our-org.md) (which is a nonprofit with 501(c)(3) public charity status) as nonprofit volunteers. People in our community can serve as nonprofit volunteers to work on teams and contribute to change. This happens outside of our project training, but offers the same kind of agile cross-functional teamwork experience. Volunteers operate off of the central roadmap that the Tech Fleet board of directors puts together.

## Class-based Teammates

People in our community can join class-based training, and these are also built around cross-functional teamwork. Classes are practical and lab-based, offering chances to build real experience while also learning the theory of teamwork and agile.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.techfleet.org/team-portal/new-teammate-handbook/start-the-teammate-handbook-here/types-of-teamwork-in-the-community.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
