1️⃣Intake Milestone
This page shows the details of the intake milestone
What is it?
During the intake milestone, teams compile the high level goals and anticipated deliverables for the project. They do not, however, create a contract that never changes. They work towards validating the assumptions and ideas that clients or teammates have after intake. Intake simply starts the organization of the work and collects information about the business needs from stakeholders’ perspectives.
Why is it valuable?
The value of this milestone is that it helps the team work smoothly and efficiently. By having clear roles and a shared understanding of goals, everyone knows what to do and when. This organization helps the team stay focused and make sure they are moving in the right direction. For the product, it means that the team can deliver what they promised on time and meet the needs of those who will use it.
It's crucial to complete this step on time because it sets the foundation for everything else. Without it, the rest of the planning can't happen smoothly, just like you can't have a great party without knowing the basics first!
Who’s involved?
All teammates in all team functions are involved in the intake milestone.
When does it happen in a project?
The milestone is the first in order. It should be done before all product milestones.
