Just like a product has a vision, a team needs a vision too. Vision helps everyone see long-term outcomes and direction ahead. Teams can build a collective vision for themselves as teammates before projects begin to outline:
The audiences they serve
The team-focused problems to solve
The team goals
The value the team provides
What makes the team unique
What risks the team can identify to vet
The costs that may go into the team
The scope of Agile coaching and transformation work ahead
How the team measures success
Team vision boards are valuable because they give every team member a stake in the outcomes from the beginning of work together. The vision helps a team understand why they are here together and what they are working towards.
A team should produce this together in collaboration.
The Scrum Master facilitates and maintains the Agile Team Vision on the team.
Here's a Workshop Template your team can use before a project and during projects to outline their own team vision.

Teams make it before a project, and update it after the project begins as they change their working agreements.
Team vision boards represent the voice of the team: A self-organized team makes their own decisions and determines their own future together. No one person should tell them why they are here, or what they are working towards. It takes an entire team to provide voices and perspectives into their mission and purpose together.
